Strapless and Convertible Bras

The warm weather is coming! Despite the trend of a few years back to showing your bra straps - might we suggest that your best bet for that cool summer top is a strapless or convertible bra?

As with every bra, the key to wearing either of these styles is to get the fit right. All bras depend on the band for the vast majority of their anti-gravity properties. If the bra you are putting on is strapless, it’s clear that the band and cups have to fit perfectly, or your “girls” will be either falling down or falling out.

Given the critical nature of the right fit, it’s a good idea to shop at a quality lingerie store, where you can also have a proper fitting done. No matter how good the instructions that we - or other sites - post on how to fit your brassiere, nothing beats the discerning eye of a professional who knows a wide range of styles, brands and makes, so that you end up looking gorgeous.

Many of us wait until the warm weather really gets hot before we get in the mood to buy our summer lingerie. Then again, why not get one bra that is both strapless and convertible? Wacoal offers the Halo Lace Seamless Convertible Bra that can actually be worn without straps! This is a bandeau style bra, but it still manages to provide some reasonable support through the use of stay-put silicone in the bra for extra support. So, while you might expect that this bra would only work for smaller busts, it actually come in sizes from 32B to 38DD. This bra also has a matching panty - I really like this combination!
