More Soccer Inspired Lingerie

Well - it seems that West Ham United scored big when Katy Perry turned up in a designer basque made from 3 of the soccer club’s official shirts. Now, another soccer team is getting in on the fun.

Real Madrid has launched its own lingerie line called Luxe. This isn’t just a single basque for the women: this is a full line of lingerie for both males and females! Women will have the chance to wear slips, bras or undies with the Real Madrid shield while men will have a selection of underwear from boxers to briefs.

Looks like the club worked with a real lingerie designer when coming up with these pieces. Women have will be able to pick from full coverage to plunge and demi cup styles in bras, while being able to find g-strings and bikini underwear options.

Real Madrid is working with the Little Kiss clothing company, a Valencia based textile company. This is a big break for Little Kiss, who does not appear to have been a big player in the lingerie market previously. They’ve got a great business partner in Real Madrid; the club is known as one of the richest in terms of income.

You don’t have to think “drab” or “unattractive” when you think of bras or panties with a team logo on them either. As Katy Perry demonstrated, fan gear can be sexy! These pieces by Real Madrid are not only sexy but they also come in practical black and white. Just think: you could be at the office, taking a call - and all the while, supporting your favorite soccer team! (Although, if you are wearing a bra, I guess your favorite soccer team is supporting you.)

These garments will be for sale beginning in March 2010.

It makes me wonder who next will be flaunting their logo on underwear and lingerie. Coke? Pepsi? I’m sure that rabid fans of collectable Coke items would cheerfully line up to buy bras and panties with that famous logo on them.
