More Anti-Wrinkle Bras

NightBra and Breast Rest

Since my posting about La Decollette, I’ve heard from a Spanish company that produces the NightBra.

The NightBra has been on the market since 2005, and is the brainchild of Dr Elisa Fernandez, who is a medical specialist in Gynaecology and Anatomical Pathology. The result was the NightBra, which is endorsed by both a large client base and by medical media, according to MENDEZ CHAIN-NIGHTBRA, which is the company that produces it.

The NightBra looks remarkable similar to La Decollette, with the only significant difference being that the NightBra does not adjust in the same way. NightBra is a one piece garment that pulls on over your head. Rather than adjust a one-size fits all garment to your body, the NightBra is purchased in your correct clothing size. While the garment is also without cups, it has a full back (which may appeal to women who are cold when they sleep.)

If you’d like to buy something a little closer to home - which can also be used for daytime wear - why not take a look at the Breast Rest?

Oakville entrepreneur and part-time inventor, Jody-Lynne Harbour, is the brains behind the Breast Rest. I met Jody personally at the National Women’s Show in Toronto, Canada. She is a true enthusiast of her garment and it shows. (Like all bra experts, she was busy checking out the posture of the women around her - and whether their bras fit right!)

The Breast Rest is unique among lingerie items. Her garment can be purchased with cups for the breasts or without. Either way it can be worn both day or night because the breasts are not encased or constricted. They are simply supported.

Jody also points out that her bra alternative means no cleavage wrinkles too!

The fabric of the Breast Rest has to be one of the selling points. It’s made out of Lenzing Modal fabric. If you haven’t heard of Lenzing Modal fabric, don’t be surprised. It’s made from beech wood!

Unlike either La Decollette or NightBra, which focus exclusively on night wear, the Breast Rest comes in a variety of styles for every phase of a woman’s life, through all the parts of your day. You can buy a halter style, maternity / nursing version, a V-neck or “crew neck” style, or even a specialized breast rest for women who have had a mastectomy.
