HOTmilk Puts The Sexy In Pregnancy

If you read my last post and share my disdain for the pregnancy and nursing options of sexy lingerie brand Agent Provocateur, may I introduce you to HOTmilk?

These folks have definitely got it right: HOTmilk gives you all the sensuous plus the comfort and styles that let a mom nurse successfully and still be a woman.

Having nursed both my kids, I can tell you that most nursing bras are - well - functional at best and just plain unattractive at worst. While many lingerie makers are coming out with better options, it can be hard to find them. At least some of the department store lingerie brands are waking up to the fact that you are nursing, you aren’t going into battle - and have dropped the need to construct a bra that looks like armor. However, if you really want something flirty and fun to wear, it can be downright impossible to find.

It’s as if every woman got pregnant by immaculate conception and now that the baby has arrived, she couldn’t possibly want sex (even though sex is exactly why she’s currently nursing that bouncing baby boy or girl.) For instance, most nursing bras come in white only. The woman pictured on the package is incredibly demure (even though she’s in a bra) and is holding a baby. She looks like a cross between the Virgin Mary and the All-American Girl. (If you’ve nursed and tried to find a suitable bra in a department store, you know exactly what I’m talking about.)

The HOTmilk collection changes all that.

This is a New Zealand company started by two women who both breastfed their babies - and wanted to remember that they were women at the same time. The YouTube video introduction to their newest lingerie says it all. (It’s hilarious by the way - sexy and naughty and downright irreverent, much like the name of their lingerie brand. If the kids are nearby, it’s not exactly rated PG although all naughty bits are covered.) This is not a company that shies away from showing how sexy the pregnant female can be.

While you can buy online, HOTmilk is now available in stores in North America too. You can also find some European locations to purchase. Interestingly enough, there’s an outlet in the United Arab Emirates.
