An Update On Bravado Bras

There is so much happening in lingerie for maternity, I’d almost be inclined to have another baby.

Well – almost.

The issue with pregnancy, of course, is that the size of your breasts can change a lot as you gain weight with the pregnancy. That means that your maternity bra can change size before baby ever arrives. Then, you can can another cup size after you deliver your new bundle of joy. To add insult to injury, you need to be prepared for a lot of weight change as you nurse: while most of us are very happy that nursing is one of nature’s best weight loss programs ever, it does mean that we could find ourselves in yet another bra size – and maybe more than once.

As a result, I love the new Bravado Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra. I purchased Bravado bras during both my pregnancies: the fact that these bras fit a range of sizes without binding or pinching breasts is a huge plus. However, the Bravado bras that I bought just didn’t flatter my large bust as much as I would have liked. All that has changed with the Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra: this bra has removable molded foam cups! There’s lots of comfort here too: the soft buttery material is a stretch nylon blend.

Unlike other Bravado bras, this bra hooks up at the back, which I also like. The Original Bravado bra that I bought pull on over the head, which was not ideal for my full-busted figure.

The Body Silk has some celebrity endorsement as well. Apparently, Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett and Jennifer Garner all bought the Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra.

The sizing allows for both increase and decrease of your size as you go. For instance, the small size bra will fit from 32B to 36B and right up to a E cup for bandsize 32. This means that you can buy one of these for a shower gift, as long as you know the size of shirt that your pregnant friend wears. If she’s between sizes, choose the next larger size.

You have some lovely color choices too. You can get both the black and the butterscotch through our retail partner, Bare Necessities. Just click on our icon on the top right of the page.
