A Sleep Bra For Cleavage Wrinkles

La Decollette is the product of a Dutch company, who has put this “bra” on the market to help women who find themselves developing vertical wrinkles between their breasts.

The unusual garment was developed by Rachel de Boer. She was inspired to tackle the issue of cleavage wrinkles because of the vast number of women who sleep on their sides, and wake up with creases in the morning! While younger women find that these sleep wrinkles quickly disappear, older women will see them begin to intensify and deepen until they don’t fade away in the morning.

De Boer found out a couple of years ago that there is no real cure to these wrinkles once a woman has them permanently etched by sleeping pattern and aging skin. “That’s why I developed a product myself,” says De Boer.

This bra - unlike most bras - has no cups. It’s designed to provide a completely different kind of support than a daytime bra, holding the breasts in place on each side, so that a sleeping woman will not have one breast folding down over the other. De Boer says, “The vertical wrinkles appear because the breasts are pressed against each other while sleeping.” Not so with the La Decollette.

Tests of De Boer’s Decollette were astounding. The skin - once it was relieved of the daily pressure - often naturally regenerated its smooth appearance.

The bra was introduced in 2008. It made its mark in Holland, catching the attention of newspapers and magazines that tested it and announced that it worked.

Pictures of the bra on the La Decollette website show a sling of material that sits between the breasts, directly on the skin. Like a bra, it has straps over the shoulders and a band which goes around the chest. Unlike a regular bra, there are no cups! It is a one-size fits all garment that adjusts both at the shoulders and back.

The site is written in English, but it is a bit choppy reading. I suspect that the inventor may not have employed the services of a native English speaker.

Despite the fact that this is not something you’d wear anywhere but your bedroom, the designer has kept the female’s fashion sense in mind: you can buy it in black or white.
